This Privacy Policy explains how Kris Torrington (“I”, “me”, “my”, or “we”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit kristorrington.com (the “Site”) or interact with my content and channels. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who I am
I am an independent content creator publishing videos and written commentary about artificial intelligence and technology. You can reach me at kris@kristorrington.com.
2. Information I collect
Information you give me directly: if you contact me, subscribe to a newsletter, join a community, or comment, I may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically: like most websites, my Site and its hosting/analytics providers may automatically collect standard technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, pages viewed, and the date/time of your visit — via cookies and similar technologies.
Embedded content: pages may embed content from third parties (e.g. YouTube videos). Those embeds can collect data about you as if you had visited the third party directly.
I do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and I do not sell your personal information.
3. How I use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and my content;
- To respond to your enquiries and messages;
- To send updates or newsletters if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- To understand aggregate audience trends via analytics;
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse.

I rely on reputable third parties that have their own privacy policies, including (as applicable): website hosting and analytics providers; email/ newsletter services; and the social platforms where I publish (YouTube/Google, TikTok, and Instagram/Meta). Any automation I use to publish my own videos to my own channels accesses only my accounts under those platforms’ APIs and does not collect data about you.
6. How information is shared
I do not sell or rent your personal information. I may share limited data with service providers who help operate the Site (bound by confidentiality), or where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
7. Data retention
I keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the Australian Privacy Principles, the EU/UK GDPR, or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these, email kris@kristorrington.com and I will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and I do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Security
I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International transfers
If you access the Site from outside Australia, your information may be processed in Australia or other countries where my service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.

I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision; material changes will be posted on this page.
